All applicants for The Hotel School Sydney are selected on their individual merit. After an application has been logged through the University Admission Centre[UAC] You will find our listing and UAC information on page 201 of the UAC 2012 Guide.

An interview is further arranged in person at the school with one of the school's approved representatives or via telephone.

After reading the details below all applicants must submit an application using the 'Direct Application Form' together with:

1. A copy of your resume using the template provided
2. Certified copies of recent school reports and academic transcripts
3. A recent hard copy passport size photo
4. Certified copies of IELTS or equivalent results (International students only)
5. Certified copy of your passport (International students only)

Australia and New Zealand Applications

Direct Applications to The Hotel School Sydney will only be accepted outside the University Admission Centre[UAC]dates.

If applying for session 2 in June you will need to apply directly via UAC from April - June.

If applying for session 1 in February you will need to apply directly via UAC from August - January.

The Hotel School Sydney can only accept direct applications outside these dates.

When applying through UAC/QTAC for the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management, The Hotel School Sydney should be listed amongst your preferences. In addition you must also submit an 'Direct Application Form' and forward directly to The Hotel School Sydney.

Whilst the final tertiary score is used as an indicator of ability to undertake studies at a tertiary level, selection to The Hotel School Sydney is also based upon your performance at interview. Interviews are conducted throughout the year but primarily during October and November each year.

International Applications

You may apply directly at any time to The Hotel School Sydney. However, to be considered for admission into the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management you must have completed an educational qualification deemed to be at least equivalent to completion of Year 12 in Australia and have met The Hotel School Sydney's language requirements listed below.

Advanced Standing/Academic Credit/Recognition of Prior Learning

Southern Cross University policy allows for the granting of advanced standing for previous post-secondary study, relevant professional experience or demonstrable expertise. To apply you should complete and return the Advanced Standing Application and submit with your application.
