In the competitive and rapidly evolving industry, career fairs and networking events provide invaluable opportunities for students, especially those in the hospitality industry, to connect with potential employers, industry leaders, and like-minded professionals.  

The Hotel School regularly holds industry networking opportunities, connecting renowned hotel brands and enthusiastic students, showcasing the endless possibilities for our students and opening doors to new career opportunities that they might not have considered. 

A Glance Back at the Event 

The Hotel School campuses buzzed with energy as students dressed to impress and network with industry leaders representing some of the most distinguished properties, such as Accor, Marriott, IHG, TFE, and more. The event commenced with inspiring introductions from our industry partners, followed by a networking session where students were able to take the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and gain insights into various career paths and diverse roles available within the industry.  

Prior to the event, our Professional Learning Centre team ensured that students’ resumes and interview techniques were polished with 1:1 sessions and workshops provided during the Term. Their emphasis on experiential learning shone through as students spoke confidently about their internship experiences and insights gained from THS networking activities, earning the industry partners’ admiration. The guidance and real-world exposure they gained during their course gave them a competitive edge, setting them apart from the crowd. 

One of the most thrilling aspects of the event was witnessing students receive on-the-spot job offers and invitations to second interviews. Our students’ passion and dedication captured the attention of recruiters, resulting in amazing success stories. For some of our students, this event marked the beginning of their exciting journey in the hospitality industry, with much more to come.  

At The Hotel School, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom, which is why we make sure the students get the most out of their course by organising guest speaker sessions, exclusive behind-the-scenes tours, academic and industry workshops, and networking events like this, to foster a bridge between education and career acceleration.  

Career fairs and networking events are vital in this industry, where personal connections and authentic interactions hold significant weight. By leveraging these opportunities, students can enhance their skills, expand their professional network, and gain valuable insights from industry experts.
