Your Enrolment

There are a few things you’ll need to complete as part of your enrolment, including fees and financing, government assistance, and your Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

All students must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to graduate and receive their award. Your USI is a personal reference number that stays with you for life and records all recognised study you complete in Australia.

If you’ve previously studied in Australia, you may already have a USI. If not, you can apply for one online and submit it through MyEnrolment once you’ve received it.

Apply for a USI at usi.gov.au

Domestic Student Fees and Government Assistance

Eligible domestic students may apply for Australian Government assistance, including:

  • HECS-HELP for Commonwealth Supported Places
  • FEE-HELP for eligible fee-paying students
  • SA-HELP to assist with the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF)

Applications are completed through MyEnrolment after you accept your offer. These options, including eligibility and key deadlines, are explained during Orientation, so you don’t need to apply before then.

Check your eligibility via StudyAssist

Domestic Student Scholarships

There are a range of scholarships available for eligible domestic students.

Visit our scholarships page for application and deadlines.

International Student Fees and Payments

International students pay tuition fees directly and are not eligible for Australian Government assistance.

Your offer letter outlines your tuition fees, payment schedule and any conditions of enrolment. Fee payment instructions are provided after you accept your offer.

The Fees and Financing session during Orientation will also cover international student payments, important dates, and who to contact if you have questions about your fees.

Stay up to date with fee due dates via the Southern Cross University website

Essential Uni Platforms at THSA

Throughout your degree, you’ll use a few key Southern Cross University systems to manage your enrolment, access learning materials and stay connected. Your login details are provided in stages, so there’s no need to set everything up at once.

MyEnrolment

MyEnrolment is where you’ll manage the administrative side of your studies, including enrolling in units, updating personal details, accessing important forms, and viewing information related to your fees and grades.

You’ll receive your Student ID number and instructions to set your password once admitted.

Access MyEnrolment at scu.edu.au/myenrolment.

MySCU and Learning Sites (Blackboard)

MySCU is your central student portal and provides access to Blackboard learning sites, Unit Information Guides, lectures and online tutorials, assessment details and submissions, as well as library services and learning support.

Your MySCU login details can be found in MyEnrolment under MySCU Details. Learning sites usually become available around one week before classes start.

SCU Student Email

Your SCU student email is the primary way the University and The Hotel School will communicate with you, so it’s important to check it regularly.

New students use the same password as MySCU. Existing students use their Active Directory password.

Access your email at email.scu.edu.au.
