Kaiah Finding Her Niche

Kaiah Finding Her Niche

Kaiah, 21, found her way to The Hotel School through a series of twists and turns in her life. After finishing school in Year 10 on the NSW Central Coast, she took an online pathway to university to study arts and communications. It didn’t take long to realise she was craving connections over communications.

Kaiah is a real ‘people person’ and she found her love of connecting with people while working in retail. She loved the daily interactions and creating relationships with customers. Pursuing a career in hospitality seemed the ideal fit and the personalised education and learning space of The Hotel School Sydney perfectly suited her study preferences.

Kaiah is particularly loving the social aspect of The Hotel School. At a larger university, she felt a little overwhelmed and not able to make the personal connections she enjoys so much. Here, she has been able to connect with the entire student body and is a proud member of the SRC.

She is looking forward to meeting new people through the many excursions in her industry focused studies including wine tours, career expos and hotel tours. A trip to Singapore later this year will be a real highlight with a visit to the iconic Marina Bay Sands and Raffles.

Kaiah is amazed by the opportunities The Hotel School is offering her and the benefits this will bring to her career. “Hospitality is such a social industry. I love all the activities, networking or otherwise, I am so glad I am able to make a career out of working with others.”

Kaiah is a first year student studying her Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management.
